Activities on this Townsend RV campground include fishing, tubing and an outdoor movie theater. The swimming pool is open from late May to early September. There is a playground for the kids and a hay ride is offered every day.

• Lazy Daze Campground is just a mile away from the entrance into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This Townsend campground offers 63 RV sites with full hookups including 20- and 30-amp electric connection and cable TV. This is a great RV spot for those who enjoy tubing as the Little River offers plenty of opportunities to have fun in the water. There is also a nice bike path along Highway 73 that is kept in good condition and affords views of the mountains. The park has a gift store, picnic areas, playground and game room. The quick trip to the national park offers the chance for hiking and fishing.

Tremont Hills Campground

• The 50 RV sites at Tremont Hills Campground are larger than average, and this RV resort that spans 20 acres of land. Relax in the shade as you kick back and enjoy the surrounding views of the Smoky Mountains. These RV sites are full hookups offering 30-amp electric and cable TV. The RV spaces are mostly set near the river and offer riverside views. There is a general store that sells camping equipment if you decided to try out one of the 35 tent-only sites for a night. Facilities include bathrooms, showers, laundry and pavilion. On-site recreation includes a summer day camp for kids, fishing, tubing, a swimming pool and a game room stocked with video games as well as a pool table. As long as they remain well-behaved and leashed you are welcome to bring along your pet.
