Bear Townsend, Tennessee Cabins

Townsend, Tennessee is the westernmost gateway city into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This city considers itself the "Peaceful Side of the Smokies" since it is not as commercial as the other two gateway cities, Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Cherokee, North Carolina. Some log cabin resorts in Townsend have the name "bear" in their name, paying homage to the black bear, an indigenous species to the Great Smoky Mountains.
