Restaurants with Dancing in New Jersey

Various towns throughout New Jersey, including such major cities as Atlantic City and Newark, feature restaurants that offer dancing. While some restaurants provide dance floors for patrons to enjoy, others include live entertainment in the form of dance performers. Sometimes restaurants feature a mixture of the two scenarios, with performers inviting diners to dance with them on stage.

  1. Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar

    • In Atlantic City, the Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is less than half a block from the famed Boardwalk. The interior features a casual setting patterned after 1940s Havana, outfitted with a brightly colored tile floor, red curtains, towering ceilings, terra-cotta walls and arched doorways. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant features a Late Night Latin Show, complete with live salsa dancers, DJs and a percussionist. The menu includes Cuban cuisine, offering such items as arroz con pollo, guava barbecue ribs and Cuban pressed sandwiches.

    Cous Cous Moroccan Cusine

    • Cous Cous Moroccan Cusine, in Cherry Hill, is just 10 miles east of Philadelphia. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant has its own private parking lot. The interior resembles a traditional Moroccan setting, with pillows for seating, low tables and candlelight. Diners begin every meal with a wash basin and hot towels. The Moroccan-based menu offers such items as beef shish kebabs, couscous with stewed vegetables and lamb with honey. On Friday and Saturday evening, the restaurant features live DJs and belly dancers.

    Hell’s Kitchen Lounge

    • Hell’s Kitchen Lounge lies southeast of Newark’s city center and just 10 miles across the Hudson River from New York City. The lounge features its own private lot and sits approximately five short blocks from Newark Penn Station. The dining hall has hardwood floors, bright red walls and animal-print furnishings. The kitschy restaurant plays host to various special events, including beer pong tournaments, movie screenings, karaoke competitions, burlesque dancers and live music and dancing each Saturday night. The restaurant offers eclectic fare, such as chorizo sandwiches, penne in vodka sauce and beer-battered fish and chips.

    Brasilia Grill Restaurant

    • Brasilia Grill Restaurant, northeast of Newark, is in the city’s Ironbound region and has its own private lot. Although the restaurant accepts credit cards, you can find an ATM half a block from Brasilia. The casual interior includes tiled floors, green-painted wood furnishings and palm trees decorated with little white lights. The restaurant offers churrascaria service, or tableside carving of various meats, as well as rodizio, the Brazilian style of grilling meats via hardwood charcoal. The restaurant offers karaoke Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as live bands, DJs and dancing Friday through Sunday night. On the last Saturday of every month, the restaurant features a live samba show.
