Dance Clubs in and Near Lancaster, California

Lancaster is located in the western side of central California. It is roughly 30 miles from the Pacific Ocean and only about 15 miles north of Los Angeles. Lancaster and surrounding cities are home to hundreds of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and dance clubs that cater to local residents and tourists. Though there is only one night club in the city limits of Lancaster, surrounding towns and cities (such as Los Angeles) have a wider variety of nightlife hot spots.

  1. The Backdoor

    • The Backdoor is located on the north end of Lancaster, just two blocks from Highway 14. The establishment is the only dance club in the city limits of Lancaster and typically markets to the nearby gay and lesbian community. It was started by owners, Lorri and Vicki, to be a place where anyone can feel comfortable as they drink cocktails and dance. The club features a large dance floor and seating area, as well as bar games including pool and air hockey.

    Boulevard3

    • Roughly 15 miles south of Lancaster and straight down the Antelope Valley Freeway is Boulevard3. Boulevard3 is located on L.A.’s famous Sunset Boulevard and built on the site of the historic Hollywood Athletic Club. This dance club brings in some of the most well-known DJs in the area, as well as flamenco dancers, aerial performers and a million dollar LED lighting system to heighten a patron’s experience. The interior and exterior was designed by Greg Jordan, former designer of the Trump buildings, and includes a landscaped English courtyard, 20-foot tall fireplace, an intimate library and a 7,500 sq. ft. three-level ballroom.

    Whiskey a Go Go

    • Whiskey a Go Go is also about 15 miles south of Lancaster and in the West Hollywood section of Los Angeles. The night club has been a famous attraction since it opened in 1964 and has hosted some of the most well-known rock musicians in history including Led Zeppelin, The Jimmy Hendrix Experience, Janis Joplin and The Doors. Now, it is more of a traditional music venue and dance club that features all types of music including rap, hip-hop and punk. Whiskey a Go Go also offers private events such as showcases, premieres, wrap parties and private parties.
