Southern California is known for many things. Beaches, movie stars and plastic surgery top the list, but the region definitely has something for everyone, including those who love square-dancing. Whether you're near Los Angeles, Orange County or San Diego, you'll be able to find a square-dancing club nearby with classes and dances every month.
The Thunderbird Square Dance Club meets to dance two Saturdays a month; each has a different theme, such as the roaring 20s or Irish jig. The room is spacious enough for everyone to have a good time square-dancing. Snacks are usually served and a newsletter put out by the club each month will have highlights and upcoming news for members.

Trail Dusters is not just a club, but also teaches newcomers how to square-dance in classes. This club meets four or five times a month to dance and has been known to collect canned food donations for local charities at meetings. While they don't meet anywhere fancy, the dancers have a good time hanging out with friends and fellow square dance lovers.
