Tokyo Dance Clubs

  1. The First Bar

    • The First Bar, one of Tokyo's largest, is located in the Roppongi district. It is open every day of the year, with free admission. Since opening in March of 2007, its dance club has become renowned for a vibrant ambiance and diverse array of musical styles. Dress code is business casual.

    Womb

    • Womb is a live music venue and dance club that opened in April of 2000 in the bustling Shibuya district of Tokyo. Womb offers a laser and digital sound system. Many internationally renowned DJs have made appearances at the nightclub, such as Nathan Fake and Technasia. With its state-of-the-art laser and digital sound system, it is a hub for techno music, and features a bar, DJ lounge, primary dance floor (with a capacity for 600 dancers at a time) and VIP section. The atmosphere of the club is futuristic and chic, with its mirror bar and speaker sound system that goes in five directions.

    Club Atom

    • Club Atom is a lively Shibuya dance club that features a broad range of musical genres, including hip-house, house, psytrance, R&B, rave and trance. Club Atom has three levels, one of which is a relaxing lounge and two which are nightclubs that have dance floors. The nightclub is particularly popular with young people in their early twenties. A full-service bar is available, with bartenders that are helpful and bilingual in Japanese and English. The club stays open until six o' clock in the morning.

    Velours

    • Velours is a luxurious and decadent lounge (complete with food service, chandeliers and red carpet) and dance club that blends contemporary Europe and traditional Japan to create a laid-back and chic Tokyo nightspot. Velours is frequented by many foreigners and Japanese people alike. It is situated in the stylish Aoyama neighborhood, nestled within an unassuming alley. Many fashion and design events take place at Velours. The bilingual staff speaks Japanese and English.
