Tourist Visa Requirement for Singapore

Not everyone needs a tourist visa to enter Singapore, but for those who do, the application process can be challenging. Fortunately, Singapore's Immigration and Checkpoints Authority explains what every applicant needs to gain entry to the country.
  1. Application

    • Every tourist visa applicant must complete an application. These can be found on the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website at ica.gov.sg.

    Supporting Documents

    • Applicants must attach all supporting documents to the application for visa approval. These include a copy of the applicant's bio-data page in his passport, a recent passport-sized photo, and the "Letter of Introduction for Visa Application."

    Employer Letter

    • Future tourists must also provide the Singapore government with a leave of absence from their employers. Letters must include length of employment and salary details.

    Translations

    • If the documents are not in English, applicants must provide English translations of the pages to the Singapore government.

    Processing Fee

    • A processing fee must accompany every application when submitted. The Singapore government cannot refund the fee even if the tourist visa application is denied.
