The country has now opened up, and traveling to Vietnam has become very easy for western tourists. All foreign visitors require a visa when entering the country, but this can be easily taken care of at a Vietnamese consulate before you leave.

    Diplomatic and Official Visas

    • A diplomatic or official visa application has the same requirements as a tourist visa, except that fees are usually not required.
