Instructions

  1. Preparation

    • 1

Check the Vietnamese Embassy website or call to find out if you must obtain a visa.

    • 2

Print the tourist visa form from the embassy website and read about the visa fees and other requirements, as you will need this information later.

    • 3

Obtain a 2-by-2 passport style photograph at a pharmacy or photo shop.

    • 4

Acquire a cashier’s check or money order totaling the amount listed by the Vietnamese Embassy for tourist visa fees. Also buy postage for two envelopes.

    Complete the Paperwork

    • 5

Fill out the tourist visa form. Check the type of visa you will be applying for: multiple or single entry. If you plan to leave Vietnam and return, you will need a multiple entry visa. If you are unsure, opt for the multiple entry visa.

    • 6

Glue your photograph to the top, right corner of the visa application.

    • 7

Date and sign the form, then double-check for errors since incorrect information may delay your visa approval.

    • 8

Place the appropriate postage on both envelopes. Address one to the Vietnamese Embassy and the other to yourself.

    • 9

Place the application form, check or money order, passport and self-addressed stamped envelope into the mailing envelope and seal. Place it in a mailbox for carrier pickup.
