Galveston Island has no shortage of entertainment attractions--the beach, Schlitterbahn waterpark, the Strand's shopping district. Simply stated, Galveston aligns itself around entertainment. That said, there are no outright comedy clubs in Galveston. There are, however, clubs with frequent comedy showcases, and nearby Houston presents some great options if you're in the mood for a good laugh.
Known primarily as a music venue, B. Jiggers also frequently invites comedians to take the stage. B. Jiggers is renowned as "the best live music venue" in Galveston, according to the official Galveston tourism website. Comedians often take the podium on Tuesday nights, the only night of the week not occupied with other programming.
