Probably the most well-known and one of the oldest (if not the oldest) continuously operated comedy club in Atlanta, the Punchline Comedy Club is definitely a must-visit destination. It is often promoted as "The Premier Comedy Club" and "The Number One Comedy Club" in Atlanta. It hosts mainly stand-up comedians, but also has a regular Open-Mic Night on Wednesdays.

Relapse Theater is a much younger comedy club than the Punchline, but that does not mean it only serves the comedic interests of a younger crowd. This club offers a variety of acts, ranging from improv to stand-up. It also hosts improv classes.

The Laughing Skull Lounge is actually part of a very popular site in Atlanta known as the Vortex. There is absolutely no way that you can miss the Vortex; a giant skull with a wide-open mouth serves as its entrance. The Laughing Skull hosts mainly established comedy acts and hosts its own comedy festival.

Dad's Garage Theatre is a non-profit, volunteer-supported improv troupe in Atlanta. It is one of the longest-running and most entertaining groups in Atlanta.
