Improv comedy club boasts the best comedy in Houston. With locations across the United States, Improv is indeed known for its side-splitting, well-known comedians. Many famous comedians have performed at Improv, including David Spade, Lily Tomlin, Robin Williams, Drew Carey, Adam Sandler and Jerry Seinfeld. Things get busy on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so get there early. The food is excellent but a bit pricey. There is a two-item minimum, but dinner items count.

Make reservations in advance to guarantee a seat. This show is reasonably priced for the quality of the entertainment. There's a two drink minimum.

For a night of longform improv, catch a show at Rogue Improv. It's a cheap show, costing around $5, for a few hours of entertainment put on by local talent. The ensemble is comprised of twenty performers spanning five comedy troupes. Although the club used to be at Avant Garden, as of September 2010, the Rogue Improv has moved to Rudyard's Pub on 2010 Waugh Drive.
