Played on the ice with tennis shoes and a broom, Broomball is for ages six and up. Teams compete to knock a rubber ball through the opponent's goal. One of the city's best-known locations is the House of Blues, which hosts concerts and musical events every Saturday. It's the only House of Blues to be designed in a vertical format and is also adjacent to the Houston Pavilion's outdoor complex downtown, which features shopping and entertainment spots.     • About a 40-minute drive from downtown Houston in Kemah, visitors can enjoy a dinner cruise on Clear Lake and Galveston Bay every Saturday night. The event, which launches at the Star Fleet Yacht Club, features a gourmet buffet, a two-hour cruise and complimentary soft drinks and coffee while strolling the deck.
