Live improvisational comedy is a highlight at Houston's Radio Music Theater. Audience members laugh at the three-person troop as they wow with their instrumental numbers, sketch comedy and numerous characters. Radio Music Theater stages four productions a year. Guests can also enjoy a drink at the bar between sets or have a light snack.

Those who want to try their luck betting on the dogs should head to the tracks. Gulf Greyhound Racing claims to be the largest greyhound racing track in North America. Visitors bet at one of the 318 teller windows, and stay cool in the air conditioned facility. Those who can't get to the track side can watch all the action on one of the 1,000 screens showing the live races. Post times begin at 7 p.m. every night.

While it may seem out of place, families put on a pair of ice skates and skate the night away at the Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex. Hockey and figure skate rentals are available. Those who have an appetite can have a snack or beverage at the snack bar.
