Spectrum MRC is a motorcycle club for LGBT riders only four hours away from Houston in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This group not only caters to lesbian bikers and their guests, but to anyone who is interested in learning to ride a motorcycle. The club has several rides per month, including two rides on the weekend and two rides at night on a weekday. The club has a calendar of events and meets regularly for coffee and club administration meetings.
The Sisters of Scota (previously known as Leather and Lace) is a national motorcycle club that has several Texas chapters. The club was founded in 1979 and became non-profit in 1986. The club promotes breast cancer awareness. Additionally, the Sisters of Scota are always looking to start new chapters, so it is possible to start up a chapter in Houston or a nearby suburb through the assistance of Scota's national officers.
