Unique Themed Rooms in Vegas

Las Vegas is a city known for over-the-top hotels, shows and attractions, but even in a city of such excess, some accommodations stand out among the others. Unique, themed hotel rooms or suites can certainly add to the fun of a Vegas trip, and several options are available which should appeal to a range of tastes and interests. The themed suites can be quite costly, however, so travelers should take their budget into account when choosing themed accommodations.

  1. Hardwood Suite at the Palms

    • The Hardwood Suite at the Palms Casino Resort offers luxury accommodations for avid basketball fans. According to the Palms website, it is the only hotel suite in the world that features an indoor basketball court. In addition, the room has a scoreboard and professional locker room for a truly authentic NBA (National Basketball Association) experience. The Hardwood suite is ideal for large groups because it spans two floors and contains over 10,000 square feet. Guests can sleep in one of three NBA-sized Murphy beds that open up onto the basketball court. The suite is decorated with NBA memorabilia as well, and guests are able to purchase customized team jerseys to commemorate their stay. The Hardwood suite also includes a Jacuzzi tub, large-screen plasma TVs, a media room and a full dining area. There is also a wet bar and dance floor, so the Hardwood suite is ideal for throwing basketball themed parties as well.

Red Room at Paris Las Vegas

    • For a sophisticated themed room, consider the Red Rooms at Paris Las Vegas. Designed to capture the chic, elegant feel of Paris, these rooms feature contemporary French decor that still manages to evoke the City of Light’s timeless appeal. As the name implies, the design scheme for these rooms contain bold shades of red, as well as signature sofas that are shaped like large, puckered lips. The furniture in the Red Rooms also includes custom-made European pieces, which contributes to the Parisian feel. The Red Rooms also include many amenities, such as large screen plasma TVs and mp3 player docking units. The bathrooms are classically designed and contain both a bathtub and standalone shower. For an additional fee, guests may choose to stay in a Red Room Premier, which features panoramic views of the hotel’s Eiffel Tower replica or luxurious swimming pool.

    Barbie Suite at the Palms

    • For grown-up little girls who once fantasized about living in real-life version of Barbie’s Dream House, the Barbie Suite at the Palms Resort Casino may be a dream come true. Designed in shades of pink and other bright colors, the suite is the ideal location for a bachelorette party or any girls’ night out. The room features Barbie memorabilia and artwork; hot pink poodle sculptures; skirted, corseted "dress" chairs; and Barbie-patterned pillows and chair cushions. However, the standout feature in the room may be the starburst mirror that is made with 65 Barbie dolls circling the glass. In addition, guests can take advantage of a two-way fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, full bar, plasma TVs and a steam shower. The Barbie Suite also features outstanding views of the Las Vegas strip, and can hold up to 50 people for parties and other glamorous gatherings.
