Finding a hotel room in Las Vegas is usually not overly difficult. Sin City has a glut of spaces available for tourists. For the adventurous and wealthy who would rather pass on a simple room with a king-sized bed though, many Vegas hotels offer so-called fantasy suites.
Forget the in-room honor bar that used to be an amenity in hotel rooms. These Vegas suites cater to a variety of guest's dreams ranging from your own in-room bowling alley to shooting hoops in your suite's basketball court.
The Palms Hotel is probably the beast of fantasy suites offering more than 10. Guests can indulge in themed suites ranging from Barbi, she of doll fame, to staying in the site of MTV's "The Real World" reality show.
For hipster hoopsters, the Palms offers its Hardwood Suite. This two-story, 10,000-square-foot suite features an indoor basketball court, scoreboard, lockers and plenty of room to dance.
And for those playboys who enjoy lounging in pajamas throughout the day and night, the Palms is the site of Hugh Hefner's personal suite that is available for booking. His Sky Villa has three bedrooms, a fireplace and a terrace with an outdoor pool among other features. And, of course, a rotating bed.
Rates vary for each suite but expect that game of horse in the Hardwood Suite to run about $25,000 per night. And wearing those pajamas in Hefner's suite will run about $40,000 a night.
