Going out to dinner and a movie is a popular excursion for couples, friends and families. In Texas, a few popular venues provide both experiences simultaneously. Diners do not have to rush their meals in fear of their desired film being sold out or missing the its start, and movie-goers do not have to starve through the entertainment.
At the Alamo Drafthouse, guests can see current blockbusters while enjoying a drink from an expansive list that includes draft beers, bottled beers, champagne, wine and soda. The menu has favorites such as mozzarella sticks, chips and guacamole, burgers and a variety of pizzas. Each row of seats has tables in front for easy dining and viewing. Guests write their meal selections on a piece of paper, and they may continue ordering as they wish until 30 minutes before the end of the show. With nine different locations, people from all over the state enjoy the experience. No one under 18 is permitted without an adult or legal guardian, and children under 6 are not allowed---except on special "Baby Days," in which children's movies are not shown; however, parents are allowed to bring small children into the theater for their regularly featured films.
