Hotels With Tribute Nights

In many thriving entertainment cities, famous musicians and performers do not ever leave or die, because their legacies are continued by impersonators. Many of these impersonators are talented musicians and dancers who are often booked to perform at leading hotel venues. Tribute acts are usually cheaper than seeing an authentic artist's tour show and some tribute acts can be more entertaining than the stars who originally inspired them.

  1. Las Vegas

    • For showbiz impersonators, there's no better place than the city of razzle and dazzle that is Las Vegas. The city has numerous large hotels that put on entertainment and tribute nights.

The Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas has a showroom where guests can watch nightly performances and shows accompanied by a live swing band. Currently running is "The Rat Pack Is Back," a show harking back to the greats of Hollywood such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Dean Martin. Before shows, guests can enjoy dinner and cocktails.

    New York

    • A fast-paced city, home to the Broadway theater and musical district, New York has many large-scale hotels with in-built music and entertainment venues. Jazz lovers, who enjoy tribute acts can head to The Carlyle, part of the Rosewood chain of hotels, renowned for its regular music and cabaret nights and Broadway tribute acts.

    Branson, Missouri

    • When it comes to tribute shows, Branson, Missouri is on a par with Las Vegas. The city has over 40 stages that are regularly graced by family entertainment acts.

Situated on Branson's famous 76 Strip, "Legends in Concert" offers a powerhouse of tribute acts. Guests can see performers impersonate a selection of stars such as Elvis, Buddy Holly, Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Monroe and more in one big two-hour concert. "Legends in Concert" renditions are also presented in Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Myer Hotels offers discounts on accommodations and tribute night packages for the more than 100 seasonal tribute shows in Branson.

    Great Britain

    • Visitors to Britain can take their pick of hotels with tribute nights. The Great Barr Hotel in the city of Birmingham hosts regular tribute nights where guests can book tickets for faux Michael Jackson, George Michael, Abba, The Beatles and many more artistic greats. Tribute night tickets often include drinks or a three-course meal.

Those heading north to Scotland can also experience a tribute night at the legendary Normandy Hotel in Glasgow, featuring a tribute night every week in its entertainment lounge. Guests are encouraged to dress up for some shows such as the Abba performance. Other regular acts include Neil Diamond and Elvis.
