Superdome Rules

The Louisiana Superdome, located in New Orleans, is home to the NFL's New Orleans Saints. Besides numerous sports events, the Superdome also hosts a variety of other special events including musical concerts, trade shows, wine festivals and boat shows. So that all patrons can enjoy these events, there are rules that govern behavior in the Superdome.

  1. Animals

    • Patrons cannot bring animals or pets into the Superdome, except for service animals accompanying patrons with disabilities.

    Banners, Signs or Flags

    • Banners, signs or flags may be allowed if the following conditions are met: they are in good taste and are not offensive, do not use profanity, do not obstruct the view of other patrons and do not create a safety hazard. The Superdome can make patrons remove banners at any time, and the conditions for removal might vary depending on the specific event.

    Cameras and Video Cameras

    • The rules concerning the use of cameras and video cameras vary based on the event. Before attending, refer to the event information page for a specific event to find the camera policy.

    Entry Inspections

    • Depending on the event, patrons might be subject to pre-event screening that consists of a visual search or a full search. The visual search consists of patrons opening any coats or bags so that security personnel can scan for prohibited items. The full search consists of patrons being visually searched and physically patted down or screened with a metal detector.

    • Patrons can be evicted from the Superdome for behavior such as use of profanity, pubic drunkenness, throwing objects or smoking indoors. A full list of the the behaviors that lead to eviction are included on the Superdome website.
