Among the city lights, the crowds and the traffic, shuttles offer the least expensive way to travel the Strip. Once you reach your destination, you may want to take a dip in the hotel swimming pool. You won't find any shortage of them in Las Vegas, but if an indoor swimming pool strikes your fancy, that may be a different story. Only the Tropicana Hotel offers a casino as well as shuttle service and an indoor pool. However, you'll also find an indoor pool at the non-gaming Platinum, and the South Point offers a shuttle, but swimming is outdoors only.
Las Vegas is known for its heat. Escaping to one of the Tropicana's landscaped pool areas can be refreshing and relaxing. The Tropicana Hotel/Casino boasts a 1,500-square-foot indoor pool, which the hotel can convert into an outdoor pool, offering residents year-round poolside activity. Looking for fun on the Strip is easy if you take the hotel shuttle. An outside company offers service for a fee of $6 per person, as of October 2010. Shuttles run every half hour from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 a.m. daily, but times may vary. The shuttle journey takes you as far north as the Fashion Show Mall, which is located near casinos including Treasure Island and Wynn.
