The American Horticultural Society, the oldest gardening organization in the United States, established its organization in 1922, and since then has grown to include local societies throughout the United States.The associations affiliated with the American Horticultural Society sponsor shows at established gardens and at annual venues.
Learn what plants are suitable for cultivation in central Florida while you enjoy 50 acres of southern gardens laced with walkways, or participate in events under the stars, listen to jazz, hear ghost stories or watch a movie at the Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, Florida. Visit its museum, art exhibits or garden house. With special events throughout the year, this locale also provides facilities for 30 different plant, environmental, horticultural and other societies for monthly meetings. Admission for adults is $7.00. Special rates for children apply. Free admission is available on the first Monday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Each year, between March and May, flower and garden arrangements enhance the grounds of Epcot Center, one of the theme parks at Walt Disney World. During the annual International Flower & Garden Festival gardens, topiaries and displays become the backdrop for a festival of flowers. You can learn gardening techniques, meet with experts, and view demonstrations from world-wide experts. Admission to the park is required.
