Apple Picking in Seattle

There are four apple orchards in western Washington (near Seattle) and each is home to different types of apples that mature in different seasons.

      BelleWood Acres is located in Whatcom County and boasts 24,000 apple trees.

      The orchard grows 16 types of apples and produces its own apple cider and pies.

      This orchard along the Snoqualmie River offers tours by reservation only. Apples are grown in the espalier fashion, which is a method of growing plants and trees against a wall or other flat surface.

      The orchard was established in 1996.

      This orchard has been in business since 1976 and is open to the public.

      In addition to its apples, the farm is known for its ciders that are pressed weekly and delivered to customers all over the northwestern United States.

      This 50-acre orchard boasts more than 25 types of apples, but visitors may pick only its Jonagold apples. The farm also grows corn, berries and pumpkins. Pastries, pies, and donuts are for sale in the bakery and cafe.
