Fun Things to Do in Kauai, Hawaii

Kauai is an island of about 550 square miles in the Pacific Ocean. It's both the farthest north and the oldest of the Hawaiian chain of islands. Kauai features spectacular scenery, including lush tropical rain forests, gushing waterfalls, steep cliffs and deep emerald-green valleys. Visitors to the area can choose from several fun things to do, including seeing Kauai from the skies, aboard a slow-moving kayak or on board a catamaran.

  1. Wings Over Kauai Tours

    • Wings Over Kauai Tours offers visitors a chance to see the island from above, providing passengers with views not possible from the ground. Choose from a two-passenger Cessna Skyhawk 172 or a six-passenger GA-8 Airvan. Your journey begins at the Lihue airport and takes about 70 minutes.

Highlights include incredible views of beaches, waterfalls, canyons, valleys, coastlines and craters. A few of the sights you might recognize from movies including the "Jurassic Park waterfall" and the beach shown in "Six Days Seven Nights." Custom air tours are offered, and all tours are narrated.
