Olive Boulevard (also known as rural route 340) is a long thoroughfare that stretches from the outskirts of Western St. Louis suburbs into the center of the city. In addition to several retail shopping centers and restaurants, Olive Boulevard is also home to the Barnes Jewish West County Hospital, the Beckemeir Conservation Area and Stacy Park.

    • Frank and Helen's Pizzeria has been serving customers on Olive Boulevard since 1956. All St. Louis Cardinals baseball games are televised on their dining room's big screen television. As of September, 2010 the restaurant is open Tuesday through Friday for lunch and dinner and weekends for dinner only. Kids eat free Tuesday through Thursday after 5 p.m. Specialty pizzas range from Franks Special loaded with pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions, to the Meatzza featuring Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, and hamburger.

    • The Gas House Grill is a family owned establishment located approximately 15 minutes west of downtown St. Louis on Olive Boulevard. The restaurant offers happy hour beer and appetizer specials Monday though Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and during all St. Louis Rams football games. House specials range from slow smoked brisket with barbecue sauce to crunchy popcorn shrimp and home made barbecue sauce.
