Pearl Harbor Tours From Maui

Visitors to the Hawaiian island of Maui have options if they want to add a tour of the American naval base, museum and memorial at Pearl Harbor to their vacation.     • Hawaii Activities offers a narrated, 11 1/2-hour tour of Pearl Harbor. Flights leave Maui at 8 a.m. The tour starts at the visitor center with documentary film of the attack. A Navy launch transports visitors to the Arizona Memorial. Tour participants also visit the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, where some casualties of Pearl Harbor are buried. The cemetery also contains graves of U.S. service members killed in other wars. The cost of the tour was $316 in September 2010.

    • Adventure Maui offer an unescorted day trip from Maui to Oahu that includes a rental car. Visitors can choose how long they stay at Pearl Harbor and visit other attractions on Oahu. Flights leave at 6:23 and 8:40 a.m. The first return flight is at 5:15 p.m. and the last is at 8 p.m. The tour cost $199 in September 2010, with the rate climbing to $249 between Dec. 15 and Jan. 4.
