Arco Arena is located in the Natomas neighborhood of northern Sacaramento, Calif. Each year, around 2 million people attend events at the facility, such as Sacramento Kings professional NBA basketball games and live concerts. Visitors to the Arco Arena have numerous dining options to choose from less than a mile away, including pizzerias, barbecue joints and Thai restaurants.
Andy's Original D-P Barbecue is is adjacent to the Arco Arena on Arena Boulevard. The restaurant is known for its signature "D-P" barbecue sauce. Entrees include St. Louis-style ribs, beef links, smoked chicken, sliced beef and baby back ribs, all served in the signature sauce. The menu also features catfish and red snapper. To accompany the meal, diners can choose sides like coleslaw, potato salad and baked beans. Individual combination dinners and family-style dinners are available. Located across from the Arco Arena, the Taste of Thai specializes in dishes drawn from the culinary traditions of Thailand. Nine appetizers lead the menu, such as satay chicken, marinated breast meat, dipped in a spicy Thai sauce, skewered, grilled and accompanied by cucumbers and peanut sauce. A specialty entree is the gai e san, a half of a chicken roasted in a Thai barbecue sauce. Another is the lemongrass chicken, served with peanut sauce. For dessert, try the sweet rice with mango. The restaurant serves beer and wine, including a bottled beer imported from Thailand. Taste of Thai serves lunch and dinner daily. Reservations are not required. Casual attire is acceptable.

Giant Pizza is a small chain of pizzerias with three locations in the Sacramento area, including one about one-half mile from the Arco Arena (about one minute away by automobile). The menu features eight specialty pies, such as the Greek, topped with garlic sauce, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, bell peppers, black olives, onions and a blend of mozzarella and feta cheeses. Calzones, chicken wings and salads like the chef and grilled chicken are also available. To finish the meal, the restaurant offers New York-style cheesecake. Giant Pizza is open for lunch and dinner daily. Reservations are not taken. Casual attire is the norm.
