The Sand Castle is affiliated with Kennywood Amusements and is an outdoor seasonal water park and operates four different tube slides, two different body slides, a lazy river, wave pool, children's water playground, toddler pool and has a main pool. At night the Sand Castle shows movies at their very own "dive in Movie Theater" and keeps the wave pool open all night.
There are seven hotels that offer package deals that include your lodging and 2 park tickets for about 129.00 a night and up. Courtyard by Marriott is less than a mile from the Sand Castle. Spring Hill Suites by Marriott is about four miles and the Comfort Inn Pittsburgh East is about a seven mile drive. The most reasonably priced deal is at the Days Inn Monroeville, a 12 mile drive.
