California is one of the premier spots for whale watching. From any given point in season in California, you can witness the amazing migratory patterns of the Gray Whale, or any number of species year-round. Blue Whales, humpbacks, fin whales and several other species of whales and dolphins make their home in the waters off of California. Whether you are bound for San Diego, Monterey or Long Beach, there is an experience waiting for you that will give you a whale of a tale to tell the folks back home.
Embarking from Dana Point, near San Diego California, is Captain Dave and his high-speed catamaran with underwater viewing capabilities. The boat is also equipped with underwater microphones which allow you to hear the whales and dolphins conversing with one another. The trip includes an educational presentation about marine mammals featuring a variety of jawbones, teeth, and scale models of all of the underwater animals. And Capt. Dave's triple-fudge-brownies will have you coming back year after year.
