Whale Watch launches tours from Provincetown and do their whale watching off the shores of Provincetown and the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. They have a fleet of four boats and run tours from April through October. As of February 2010, a three to four hour cruise is $39 for adults, children aged 5 through 12 are $31, and children under five are free. Captain John Boats operates from Plymouth and does its whale watching off Provincetown. Their four boat fleet consists of 85' and 100' boats that can accommodate up to 250 people. As of February 2010, tickets are $40 for adults, children 4 through 12 are $28 and children three and under are free. Group rates are available.

7 Seas Whale Watch launches its boat from Gloucester and operates from April to the end of October. Trips last from 3.5 to 4 hours. Gloucester is close to two major feeding areas for whales and, according to their website, is named by World Wildlife Federation as one of the top five places in the world for whale watching. Tickets are $45 for adults, $29 for children 4 to16 and children 3 and under are free. Discounts are available for seniors and AAA members.
