The Kennedy Center is in the downtown area of Washington, D.C. Since this is a particularly touristy part of the nation's capital, finding a cheap bite to eat isn't the easiest feat in the world. But for those who do not wish to settle for fast food or big chain restaurants--it is not impossible, either.
Nooshi is located just five minutes away from the Kennedy Center by car. It is a good option for fans of Southeast Asian cuisine, including sushi. The menu offers several entrees available for less than $10 (as of 2010), including mee goreng, tom yum noodle soup, curry laksa, Phuket noodles, Shanghai wonton noodle soup, pad Thai, drunkin noodles, cellophane noodles, noodles on the boat, crispy tofu with ginger garlic sauce, lemon chicken, red curry and Thai fried rice. Carry-out and delivery options are also available. Nooshi also provides corporate and full-service catering. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and for dinner on Sunday night.
