Located in southeast Michigan, the village of Milford is approximately 41 miles northwest of Detroit and boasts the Highland and Proud Lake State Recreation Areas to its north and south. Simply named, Milford's the Bar is deemed a gastropub for its pairing of a dive bar atmosphere with a fine eatery. Located on Main Street and smoke-free, the Bar offers daily happy hours on weekdays from three to six, as well as an all-day happy hour on Thursday. Drinks include everything from regional beers to margaritas, which are enjoyed over burgers, beer-battered onion rings or gourmet salads. The Bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. hours from Monday through Saturday as of August, 2010. On Sunday, the Bar opens early to host a brunch from nine a.m. to noon, with lunch and dinner served from noon to 9 p.m.
