Alpine peaks of Wyoming's Grand Tetons tower 7,000 feet above the floor of Jackson Valley, casting a giant shadow across the land. The best way to discover the vast diversity of this Old West panorama is from the saddle. Instead of taking in the landscape, you become part of it astride your steed.
Prior to the arrival of explorers and trappers, who journeyed through the Tetons in the early to mid 1800's, the hills and valleys were frequented by Blackfeet, Bannock and Snake Indians. With the onslaught of prospectors, ranchers and loggers in the 1890's, it wasn't long before the surrounding valleys were settled.

Following the Civil War, outlaws used the Tetons as hideouts to corral rustled herds, until wounds from re-branding healed so they could be sold elsewhere.
