The Mark Twain Riverboat, operated by Riverboat Excursions, Inc., docks in Hannibal, Missouri. The boat, built in 1964, is 120 feet long, 33 feet wide and has a 6-foot draft. This wheelchair-accessible riverboat carries up to 400 guests.
Mark Twain Riverboats offers two-hour dinner cruises that feature food, live music, dancing and beverages in a casual, air-conditioned environment. Reservations for the dinner cruises are required either in person or by telephone or postal mail and you will need a credit card number to secure the reservation. Dinner is a one-time-go-through buffet. Once guests are escorted to their reserved seating, the Captain announces that dinner is ready. Then the cruise director escorts everyone to the catered buffet table. Buffet items vary–occasional features include sliced roast beef, boneless chicken breast, various salads, green beans, dinner rolls and dessert. Group rates are available for 20 or more guests for either the dinner cruise or a specialized, one-hour lunch tour. Group reservations are required.
Saturday Night Jazz Cruises lasts two hours and are designated adults-only. Live jazz and blues music is played as the Mark Twain Riverboat cruises along the Mississippi River. A cash bar is available. The musical guests are the four-piece jazz and blues band, Ben Bumbry and the Messengers. Boarding begins at 6 p.m. for this casual event. Though dinner is not served, dancing is encouraged during the Saturday Night Jazz Cruise.
