Founded in 1935, Suffolk Downs is the state's first thoroughbred racetrack. It is where the legendary Seabiscuit raced in the Massachusetts Handicap, or MassCup. Watch and wager on exciting, live thoroughbred racing from May through November. Have a meal with views of the racetrack in The Terrace dining room. Suffolk Downs is open daily during race season. Admission is free on weekdays and children are always free but must be accompanied by an adult.

The festival features crafts and specialty foods as well as a gingerbread house competition judged by a celebrity panel.
