The Boston Ballet is know for both classical and contemporary performances, and is among the top five dance companies in the country. The Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops, the largest orchestral organization in the world is a can't miss if you are a fan of classical music.
The rain can't stop you from enjoying authentic New England cuisine. Boston, the largest city in New England has no shortage of restaurants serving up New England seafood. Some of the standouts include Legal Sea Foods, known for their rich, well-seasoned clam chowder; Atlantic Fish, a landmark restaurant which prides itself on serving the freshest fish; and Summer Shack, for the best whole lobster and all-you-can-eat crab and shrimp.
Head to the bar where everybody knows your name. The Cheers Bar in Boston, originally Bull & Finch Pub, was the inspiration for the famous bar from the television show, "Cheers" and has since been made to look exactly like TV's Cheers Bar. Menu headings feature the names of the popular characters such as "Sam's Starters" and "Woody's Garden Greens." You can also buy show T-shirts and other memorabilia at the bar.
