Cambria, a small town on California's Central Coast, is a favorite stop for tourists on their way to or from Hearst Castle, six miles north. Cambria has few strictly vegan or vegetarian options, though more are available in Morro Bay, about a 30-minute drive north.
Robin's remains in the old home where it opened in 1983. Though not a pure vegan restaurant, it provides vegan and gluten-free options---such as stir-fry, sandwiches and salads---on its lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus. Robin's quiet, informal dining room features a fireplace, and there's also an outdoor patio surrounded by vines and flowers. Robin's is open for lunch every day and for dinner Thursdays to Sundays; take-out is available.
