Hawaii beaches make for great family vacations during the winter, especially with ambient temperatures that only go down to 60 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter. Winter water temperatures for Hawaii range from 77 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter.
Hawaii has some all-inclusive resorts, but they do not offer quite as many amenities as most other types of all-inclusive resorts. Florida is a major family tourist destination with a number of theme parks, including Walt Disney World. Part of the Disney resort complex is Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. This resort is part of the Disney Vacation Club, which is similar to a time share. At this resort, visitors can go boating on the water, swim in one of the resort’s pools, play in the sand or go swimming in the ocean. Plus, the resort is within a couple of hours of Orlando and the theme parks.
Space Coast is near the Kennedy Space Center from where the shuttle takes off. Visitors can walk along the beaches, surf, look for seashells or play in the ocean. Further, families can also visit the nature preserves in the area, dig for fossils at the Dinosaur Store, go to the local zoo or visit the Andretti Thrill Park. Since winter is the off season for Florida, the beaches will not be packed, allowing families more leisure time to enjoy the beaches themselves.
Water temperatures during the winter are between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the Gulf of Mexico, and generally in the mid to high 50-degrees-Fahrenheit range for the Atlantic Ocean. Florida temperatures are usually in the mid 70-degrees-Fahrenheit range, but the area can have some colder days.
