Gay Attractions in Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is primarily known for its casinos and night club acts. However, in addition to this, what some deem the Entertainment Capital of the World boasts a number of gay-friendly attractions. Whether you want to see the city's only hotel for gay men or take in some of the local club culture, Las Vegas has something for everyone.

  1. Blue Moon Resort

    • The Blue Moon Resort is the only hotel in Las Vegas for gay men. The resort is for men only and the staff are well-trained in providing hospitality services for its gay clientele. The hotel boasts a number of amenities, including a steam room, a jacuzzi, free wireless Internet access, a pool and sun deck and continental breakfast. Every Sunday (except during holidays) from April to November the Blue Moon Resort offers a free barbecue by the pool. The freshly remodeled non-smoking rooms include pillow-top mattresses and down comforters.

    Krave

    • Krave is a popular Las Vegas nightclub catering to the gay crowd. Weekly events include Boys n Barry Sundaes--a Sunday night with actual ice cream sundaes--the 1980's theme night Back to the Eighties and Idol Fridays featuring a former American Idol contestant and popular music videos. Krave can hold a capacity of 1500 people, is handicapped-accessible and offers valet parking. The dress code is upscale casual and prohibits hats, baggy clothes and sports attire. Admission is $20 as of 2010. VIP passes for four people can be purchased for $350, which includes a table for four, a bottle of Grey Goose vodka, Patron Silver or equivalent and mixers.

    Gipsy

    • Gipsy is a popular gay dance club in Las Vegas known for its theme nights. Flamboyance Night is a drag show every Sunday hosted by Shannel from the television series "RuPaul's Drag Race" and Coco Vega. On Fridays, Club Luxx offers electronic, new wave, punk and indie music with no cover. Lace is lesbian night on Saturdays, where ladies are not charged a cover and enjoy $1 well drinks and Long Island Iced Tea. Gipsy is open Thursday through Sunday at 9 p.m., with no set closing time. Free valet parking is available.

    Suede Restaurant & Lounge

    • Suede Restaurant & Lounge offers a casual dining atmosphere with a full-service bar and live entertainment. Wednesdays feature karaoke and Thursdays patrons can sing karaoke in their pajamas during "Sheila's Pajama Karaoke." Friday kicks off with Queer as Food, an evening themed after the popular television show, "Queer as Folk," including impersonators, an amateur drag competition and live piano at the bar. Suede is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
