Las Vegas Attractions in Janurary

Las Vegas has many year-round attractions, including Cirque du Soleil, Sirens of Ti and the Hoover Dam. Guests may still want to visit the Las Vegas strip although cool temperatures may deter some visitors. Las Vegas in January still offers many exciting things to do.

  1. Cirque Du Soleil

    • The Cirque Du Soleil offers several different versions of its show, with titles such as Love, Elvis, Mystery and many others. The shows normally feature colorful sets, flawless imagery, highly skilled performers, illusions and dance and gymnastics. The shows can be pretty pricey so guests should bring a reasonable amount of spending money. Tickets for the Cirque Du Soleil can be purchased online. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to show time for a pre-show.

    Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort

    • The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is the perfect place to visit during winter months, with amenities including food and beverage services, clothing rental, equipment rental and season locker rentals. The resort offers adult lessons, child lessons and first-timer guides. Featuring 11 trails and four lifts, the resort is excellent for ski lovers. Group rates and season passes are offered to guests. Seniors and children under 12 are offered discounts.

    Shark Reef Aquarium

    • The Shark Reef Aquarium features 14 exhibits with over 2,000 animals, including exotic fish, sea turtles and reptiles. Guests are able to view a shipwreck at nearly a 360-degree view. Guests may also touch horseshoe crabs, sharks and rays. The aquarium exhibits include Indo-Pacific fish, octopuses, moon jellies, piranhas, elasmobranches, komodo dragons, a golden crocodile and the Asian water monitor. Other exhibits include the Caribbean reef and the touch pool. The Shark Reef Aquarium is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays it's open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tickets for the Shark Reef can be purchased online or in person. Group tickets are available.
