Things to Do in Las Vegas in November

Las Vegas, known for its many casinos and performances, also offers many free attractions to its visitors. Although the weather gets cooler in November, the attractions are still in demand. The tourist attractions range from nature and animal habitats to live human performances. A majority of the attractions are located just outside the lobby of the hotels, allowing the visitors to enjoy them without traveling long distances.
  1. Nature Attractions

    • The Flamingo Hotel and Casino offers a wildlife exhibit for exotic animal lovers. Just past the lobby, over 300 birds are on display. Some of the birds featured are penguins, swans, ducks and the pink flamingos. The exhibit features exotic plants imported from around the world and a stream full of koi fish and turtles.

      To celebrate its mascot, the lion, MGM offers a free lion habitat attraction at its MGM Hotel and Casino. The 5,000 square foot habit allows the tourist to watch the lions interacting in a simulated jungle habitat.

      Sea lovers have the opportunity to visit the 20,000 gallon saltwater aquarium at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Visitors can witness the sharks swimming through coral reefs.

      All attractions are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

    Performances and Shows

    • Circus lovers can visit the largest permanent circus at the Circus Circus Casino and Hotel. This circus is the largest circus in the world. The shows run every half hour and lasts about 10 minutes. It features jugglers, clowns and multiple trapeze artists. The shows run daily from 11 a.m. to midnight.

      Lovers of the beautiful Polynesian Islands can enjoy a free show put on by Polynesian-born performers at the Hawaiian Marketplace shopping mall. Onlookers can watch the performers singing, dancing, telling stories and demonstrating native crafts from their home land. Shows are given 7 days a week, two times a day.

      Sam's Hotel and Casino offers a laser light and water show that lasts about eight minutes. The show takes place in Mystic Falls Park, an indoor forest about ten stories high. The shows run daily at 2 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

    Art Collections and Museums

    • Shelby American, a factory that has built custom muscles cars for decades, welcomes tours in its museum and production facilities. The museum features the changing line of cars ranging from the first Cobra CSX2000 to the prototype for cars such as the Shelby GT-H and the Terlingua. The museum opens at 8 a.m. weekdays, and the tours for the production faculties are offered at 10:30 a.m.

      Art lovers can enjoy a collection of public art the CityCenter. Viewable 24 hours a day, the collection includes pieces from artists such as Maya Lin, Richard Long and Nancy Rubins.The artwork is displayed in various places throughout the CityCenter both outdoors and within various hotels.
