Located within 150 miles or less of cities from Baltimore to New York, Atlantic City is within an easy drive for almost the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. Atlantic City has a reputation for being seedy, but if you're looking to gamble and party, and you don't mind stumbling across the occasional blight of a city that's seen better days, Atlantic City can be a solid bachelor party destination.
Gambling and casinos set Atlantic City apart from almost every other bachelor party spot on the east coast. Nowhere else nearby has such ample opportunities to enjoy slots, roulette, craps, black jack and other games of chance. If the groom loves to gamble, and you can't fly to Las Vegas, Atlantic City is a solid runner up.
Compared with some of the smaller casinos which cater to bus tours and lower budget visitors, the Borgata stands out. This is a Vegas-style place with a plush atmosphere and over 2,000 hotel rooms. Opened in 2003, the casino has helped start a comeback in Atlantic City.

Mega casinos like the Borgata offer more than gambling. Top notch performers like Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder and Mary J Blige have performed at the Borgata; other venues nearby like the House of Blues have also hosted star talent. Depending on the groom's taste in music and the date of the bachelor party weekend, it could be worth looking into which performers are swinging through the area.
Additionally, a number of sexy nightclubs have sprung up around town. All the major casinos house clubs of their own, such as mur.mur at the Borgata and the Casbah Club at the Trump Taj Mahal. Weekend partying tends to go until dawn. For example, the Casbah Club doesn't shut down until 6:00 am on Saturdays.

Nothing has become more stereotypical of bachelor parties than a visit to the strip club. Living up to its somewhat seedy reputation, Atlantic City has an ample number of clubs where a groom and his bachelor party can get into a lot of trouble if the bride ever finds out. A look at Google maps shows that the vast majority of these clubs are found between Boardwalk and Atlantic Avenue, just a short walk from the major casinos.
While partying and gambling could easily take an entire bachelor party weekend, Atlantic City can offer more. The city's beach stretches on for miles and it's free to the public, a major perk if the gambling doesn't go as well as planned. Atlantic City has also been ranked as one of the top 10 golf cities in America by Forbes magazine. Over a half dozen golf courses are in the South Jersey area, within easy access of Atlantic City.
