  1. Pet the Animals at Old McDonald's Farm

    • At this 15-acre theme park, children can ride a miniature train, ride ponies and visit a petting zoo. The farm also has activities such as volleyball or tetherball and provides access to a large playground and play fort. The farm offers special seasonal activities, such as a large swimming pool for the summer months and a pumpkin patch in the fall.

    • This county-run 250-acre botanical garden provides access to a large collection of native and cultivated plants through a grid of well-marked hiking trails. Visitors will also find numerous pavilions and picnic areas throughout the park. Children can play in a large playground area and visit the beaver colony at Beaver Creek.

    Ride a Horse at Cypress Trails

    • Riders of all ages or skill levels can enjoy horseback riding on wooded trails along Cypress Creek. Children under age 5 are hand-led on a pony around the stable grounds, while kids ages 5 and up are allowed to ride the trail on their own.     • Visit the nature center to see an exhibit of live snakes found in Harris County, as well as dioramas and displays of local wildlife. The park area consists of 300 acres of parkland, including white sand beaches along Spring Creek. The park also includes picnic tables and a children's playground.

    • Bounce City is a 17,000 square-foot indoor play center with 14 inflatables, including an 80-foot obstacle course and 24-foot slides. They host private birthday parties, but hold open bounce times throughout the day.
