    Boston Common Frog Pond

    • Boston Common Frog Pond is located in downtown Boston. The Frog Pond offers ice-skating in the winter, a wading pool during the summer and carousel rides during the spring and fall. The Frog Pond Carousel was built in 1947 and features horses, animals, a frog and a teacup. A snack bar in the park will keep youngsters fueled. Boston Common Frog Pond is the oldest public park in America, according to the park website. It's open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park

    • The Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park has a playground for children, a splash fountain and climbing activities. The park was the City of Boston's first waterfront park, created in 1976. Guests and children can have a picnic, walk the dog or go for a stroll along the waterfront. There is no entry fee and the park is open 365 days a year.
