Dallas is a great metropolitan city filled with all kinds of entertainment. Spending the day exploring the downtown area will not only thrill tourists but amaze individuals who have called Dallas home for years. It is not just a city for adults who favor art, fine cuisine and fabulous shopping, it's a town for kids as well. The weather is usually nice, making Dallas a wonderful place to spend the day outside meeting new furry friends at the local zoo. When the weather is cool or too hot and sticky, go inside and enjoy the refreshing feel of the aquarium or watch a grand performance at the magical Children's theater.
Children will love the sight of big fish, sharks, sea otters, dolphins and penguins. The Dallas World Aquarium makes everyone feel as if they're walking underwater with passageways that surround visitors with marine life. Stepping out of the underwater caverns, visitors find themselves standing in the middle of a lush rainforest complete with unique animals. Beautifully exotic birds fly overhead, brightly colored flamingos stand along the bridges and a cute sloth hangs around waiting for children to pose beside him for the perfect snapshot.
