Lahiere’s originally began as a French restaurant in 1919, established by a husband and wife from Switzerland and France, respectively. Managed by father and son from 1961 and taken over by the couple's grandson in 1998, the restaurant changed gears along the way and now specializes in contemporary American food.
Along with soups, patrons can treat themselves to salads, sandwiches and pasta, and grilled salmon, and Lahiere’s lump-crab cakes and pan-roasted sea scallops highlight the entrée section of the lunch menu; honey-roasted duck, slow-cooked lamb shank, and grilled salmon are among the many dinner entrees. The extensive wine list features popular wines, champagne and other libations from all over the world. Lahiere's is open Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.
