Tyler State Park has camping sites for reasonable rates that travelers can make use of for their weekend getaway. The park is located east of Dallas, Texas and is north of Tyler. It has more than 985 acres of territory that includes a 64-acre lake. Some of the activities that guests can partake in while camping at the park include boating, fishing, hiking, biking and swimming. The campgrounds offer restrooms, showers, picnicking sites and pavilions. Some of the campsites have water, electricity and screened shelters. There is also a park store for souvenirs, fishing supplies, and rentals for canoes, kayaks, bikes and more. Campsite rentals begin at $12 and range to $20, as of 2010. Entrance fees are charged per day per person and range from $2 to $3 when entering the park. The park allows two vehicles per campsite.
