There are many restaurants throughout New Jersey offering special Thanksgiving entrees in addition to the normal dinner menus. Those wishing to share the holiday with friends and family can enjoy a dinner cruise with live entertainment or travel into some of the historic districts of New Jersey for a quiet dinner.
Spirit Cruises Thanksgiving dinner cruises are available annually over the Thanksgiving weekend. Dinner cruises are offered on Saturday and Sunday and a lunch cruise is offered on Thanksgiving day. The dinner cruise serves all the traditional fixings associated with Thanksgiving, including turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The normal Grande Dinner Buffet menu will also be served, including a salad station, roasted rosemary roast beef carving station, wild Alaskan salmon, pasta Italiano, chicken fontina, smashed garlic potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a choice of cheesecake or chocolate mousse truffles.
Guests aboard the Spirit Cruise will be able to enjoy live entertainment, cocktails under the stars and two hours of music perfect for dancing.
Spirit Cruises does have a dress code and strictly prohibits collarless shirts, jeans, shorts and sneakers from being worn during a dinner cruise. All cruises depart from Lincoln Harbor Marina in Weehawken. Reservations are required.

The Clinton House was established in 1743 and takes guests back in time in the historic town of Clinton. The restaurant was recently restored to replicate its original 18th-century charm and atmosphere. The Clinton House offers special holiday events throughout the year. On Thanksgiving, the regular menu is available with the addition of turkey and stuffing favorites. House specialties include Maryland crab cakes, lobster tails, surf and turf, and chicken mozzarella. Vegetarian dishes are also available. To top things off, the bakery has a complete selection of freshly baked goods available for dessert and take-out. While not required, reservations are highly recommended.

Escape for traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Stockton Inn, which is more than 300 years old. Guests visiting the inn can enjoy dinner in one of three dining rooms or on the patio, or can grab a drink in the tavern. The Stockton Inn serves dinner year round in all of the dining rooms and offers traditional Thanksgiving Day cuisine for the holiday.
In addition to turkey and ham dinners, the regular menu is available on Thanksgiving. Specialties include full rack of lamb, surf and turf, ravioli of the day, sautéed diver scallops, New York strip and sea bass. Specialty wines unique to the Stockton Inn are also available during all meal times and by the glass at the tavern.
