Ogunquit is a small coastal town in Maine that's known for its beautiful ocean scenery and a paved footpath called the Marginal Way, which winds from Oarweed Cove to Ogunquit Beach. Swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking are popular activities in town, as are golf, hiking and biking. Ogunquit also has all kinds of restaurants, from the very casual to the highly upscale.
Jonathan's Ogunquit is not only a restaurant. It also presents numerous and varied live shows and events, such as a Valentine's Day Dance, Jonathan's Wine Dinner and appearances by such performers as Suede, Tom Rush, Judy Collins and Susan Werner. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, with an emphasis on organic, locally grown foods. The lamb, vegetables and fruits served are often grown or raised on the restaurant's farm in South Berwick, Maine. The menu features a variety of seafood and also dishes like Mediterranean pasta made with lamb sausage, shallots, mushrooms, garlic and tomatoes; porterhouse steak; grilled rib-eye; and chicken piccata. Draft and bottled beer, wine and cocktails are served.
