Seafood Restaurants in Casco Bay, Maine

Casco Bay is an inlet of the Gulf of Maine. Bordering cities and towns stretch from Cape Elizabeth to Cape Small in Phippsburg. Maine's access and surplus of fresh seafood provides great opportunity for many seafood restaurants. The Casco Bay region has more than 30 seafood restaurants along its coastline, however there are four that have been featured in and awarded by Maine publications for outstanding food, service and views.

  1. Pilot House at Sebasco Harbor Resort

    • With panoramic ocean views of Casco Bay from floor to ceiling windows and outdoor deck, the Pilot House restaurant, located at the Sebasco Harbor Resort, provides a scenic landscape for dining on Maine's coast. While the menu changes seasonally, the extensive options always feature daily specials that are inspired by the fresh catch of local fishermen and farmers market finds. The restaurant and bar are open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Resort-casual attire is acceptable.

    Cook's Lobster House

    • Located on Bailey Island in Casco Bay, Cook's Lobster House is surrounded on three sides by ocean. The freshness of their seafood is guaranteed as Cook's purchases their lobsters and seafood directly from fisherman at their own wharf. Their seafood menu is extensive and features broiled, baked and fried options while they also offer mainland dishes for those interested in steaks or pasta. Cook's is open year round and is available for private functions including weddings or clambakes. Cook's Lobster House will also ship their fresh lobsters anywhere in the contiguous United States.

    Diamond's Edge Restaurant and Marina

    • Accessible from the Casco Bay Lines Ferry, the Diamond's Edge Restaurant and Marina is centrally located just offshore Portland, Maine on Diamond Island. The restaurant is open from mid spring through early fall and is a popular venue for weddings and private events due to the picturesque backdrop of their oceanfront location and lush landscape. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner and offers seafood entrees such as Sesame Crusted Tuna, Salmon Diablo and Classic Stuffed Haddock. Indoor and Outdoor dining is available.

The Lobster Shack at Two Lights

    • The location of The Lobster Shack at Two Lights has been a local, Cape Elizabeth landmark since 1920. The restaurant's fresh seafood is purchased daily from local fisherman. While they are known for their award winning lobster roll, the Lobster Shack has additional options including salads, chicken and veggie burgers. Dining is available outdoors on the picnic tables along the rocky Casco Bay coastline or inside the Lobster Shack dining room. The casual atmosphere makes the restaurant a popular choice for families.
